October 13, 2025
Thanks to all the stakeholders mobilized for the launch of 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐢𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐎 this October 13 in Libreville.
October 30, 2025Wood, bark, seeds, plants… Gabon has an abundance of forest resources, some forty of which are exploited internationally.
Rare species such as Moabi, Padouk and Kevazingo are used in high-end crafts and furniture. Others, such as Okoumé and Azobé, are used for industrial purposes.
📦 60% of the country’s non-oil exports come from wood.
📍 Local processing has been mandatory since 2010.
The timber industry thus embodies a major economic potential, combining industrial development, job creation and sustainable development of Gabon’s forests.
