Financing post-transition development: AGADEV calls for increased green financing
March 18, 2025As part of the operationalization of the carbon contribution for air and sea carriers operating in the Gabonese Republic, the Managing Director of the Agence Gabonaise pour le Développement de l’Économie Verte (AGADEV), Mrs. Scyrielle P. SENDE ETALI, chaired a working meeting with players in the maritime sector on Friday, March 7, 2025.
The meeting, which took place on the premises of the Conseil Gabonais des Chargeurs (CGC) in the presence of Mr. Giscard Lilian OGOULA, General Manager of the CGC, enabled representatives of the administration and shipowners to discuss the practicalities of implementing this mechanism.
This second meeting with the maritime sector lasted over 2 hours, and enabled everyone to agree on the merits of this initiative, and to share the concerns of operators, to which the Managing Director was able to provide clear and precise answers.
