AGADEV and CENAREST: heading for green innovation

The Managing Director of the Agence Gabonaise pour le Développement de l’Économie Verte (AGADEV), Ms Scyrielle SENDE ETALI, met Professor Alfred Ngomanda, Director of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique et Technologique (CENAREST), on Tuesday February 18, 2025.

The meeting provided an opportunity to establish initial contact and engage in fruitful exchanges on the prospects for collaboration between the two institutions.

During the meeting, Madame SENDE ETALI gave a detailed presentation of the missions and objectives of AGADEV, an agency dedicated to promoting the green economy and preserving Gabon’s natural resources. She emphasized the importance of synergy between AGADEV and CENAREST in advancing innovative and sustainable projects, particularly in the fields of scientific research, technology and the environment.

The two institutions discussed ways of working together to bring this ambitious initiative to fruition, drawing on CENAREST’s scientific expertise and AGADEV’s strategic vision to contribute to Gabon’s sustainable development.

This working session marks an important step towards closer cooperation between the country’s scientific and environmental players, with a view to making Gabon a model green economy in Africa.
