Creation of the Agence Gabonaise pour l’Économie Verte (Gabonese Agency for the Green Economy): heading for a sustainable future

Created by ordinance number 0003/PT-PR of January 22, 2025 and attached to the Presidency of the Republic, the Agence Gabonaise pour le Développement de l’Économie Verte is an industrial and commercial public establishment.

By presidential decree dated January 22, 2025, Ms Scyrielle Philomène Sende Etali was appointed head of the agency.

The mission of the Agence Gabonaise pour le Développement de l’Economie Verte is to design, finance, coordinate and implement projects aimed at deploying and promoting an integrated green economy in Gabon.

This is reflected in a number of strategic initiatives, including:
– Enhancing the country’s natural capital
– Monetizing sovereign carbon and biodiversity credits
– Transforming Gabon into a center of excellence for the green economy in Africa
– Mobilizing green financing for Gabon

Under the leadership of Ms Scyrielle Philomène Sende Etali, the agency will implement innovative, sustainable solutions, helping to preserve the environment while supporting Gabon’s economic growth.
